Here's my new Senior Studio Editorial Piece... It's based on an article titled "Forced To Be Fat" which focuses on how in Mauritania, where big is beautiful, and stretch marks are sexy, young girls are force-fed a diet of up to 16,000 calories a day.

I truly do love nature! That's why for this "tradigital" piece I focused on the idea "Teaching Kids to Cherish Nature". I think it's sad how many teenagers I see these days who won't even look up from their cellphones.

God-willing, my older sister Megan will be having her little baby in April this year and I'm looking forward to helping bring the little tike up in our loving family that cherishes the environment and wildlife!

Last week I went to visit Cody in North Carolina where he has been painting Landscapes. I had SUCH a great time down there and we really enjoyed the beautiful blue Ridge Parkway on the drive home. Be sure to check out some of Cody's newest paintings he worked on there!

This summer has been pretty busy.... getting ready for my sister's wedding, making art, spending time with my family and cody, weeding, landscaping, cleaning, reception working, and plenty more. Right now I'm in an Independent study with Don Kilpatrick. I'm writing/illustrating a children's book! I'm really excited to do all these illustrations.... For Editorial Painting we were assigned to do an illustration for an article called "Don't Call Me Clever". You'd have to read the article to truly get the illustration, but hopefully you can some-what get it. Measures at 8.5"x11"

Here's my new piece I'm doing for Image making. It is an album cover using vector shapes, photos, and using the background to make up the figure. The cover is 12cmx12cm

This Piece was for Editorial Painting. It's based on a short story called "Maia in Yonkers"

For Image Making class we had to do an editorial piece on a political article. I decided to paint John McCain with his goofy smile and I've added some digital painting on top of the original to enhance it.

My 21st Birthday is coming up! November 11th! Hopefully I'll be able to do at least a little something that night but it probably wont be much...we're so busy all the time with homework. Kdra's bday is the 12th too! So, we're planning on celebrating together.

I am looking forward to this weekend. On Friday, Me, Cody, Kdra, Chris, Tommy, and maybe Nikki are all going to head up to Big Rapids for a fun weekend at my cottage. It's sketch crawl too so we'll be able to do some cool drawings out in the woods. I'm sure sketches will be up soon after that!
